Team India sealed the ODI series after defeating England in the deciding third and final ODI in Manchester on Sunday. Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya were the stars of the night, producing cracking performances to take India home.

While Pant slammed his maiden century in ODI cricket, Pandya shined with his jaw-dropping all-round show as the duo helped India to soar past the finish line. Following the victory, India captain Rohit Sharma was handed over the winner’s trophy, and the ‘Men in Blue’ broke into wild celebrations.

When the team was about to pose for pictures with the trophy, a few players got together and gave their captain a champagne shower. Shikhar Dhawan popped open the champagne bottle and sprayed it all over Rohit.

Dhawan was soon joined by the likes of Shardul Thakur and Pant from two different positions as they also poured the champagne on Rohit. The camera then focused on Virat Kohli, who was seen enjoying everything.

Rohit then urged his teammates to come together again, to click a team photo. But Pant wasn’t ready as he continued to shower his captain with champagne before the trophy was finally handed over to Arshdeep Singh as the team cheered in joy to click the photographs.

Right after the photo session was finished, Kohli decided to have some fun on his own as he sprayed the champagne over Arshdeep and Dhawan.

Ahead of the trophy celebration, captain Rohit heaped praises on Pant and Hardik for their incredible effort that propelled the tourists to clinch the series.

“I am very proud of the boys. We were here last time and were beaten, I remember. It’s not an easy place to win games, but I thought the way we played this entire white ball leg was fantastic. Quite pleased with both of them – they were clinical with the bat, and at no point did we feel they were panicking. They were just playing cricketing shots all the way through,” said Rohit in the post-match presentation.
