South Africa will play two warm-up matches ahead of the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia — here’s the full schedule, list of fixtures and start times for the practice games of SA before the T20 WC.
Despite being at full strength, South Africa went down to India 2-1 in the three-match T20I series. David Miller scored a century for the Proteas in the second game while Rilee Rossouw smashed his first T20I ton in the last match of the series. Keshav Maharaj was the pick of the bowlers for the visitors, picking up four wickets, which was also the most by a spinner across the two sides.
South Africa will begin their T20 World Cup campaign on October 24, when they take on Group B winners at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart. Placed in Group 2, South Africa will take on Bangladesh before clashing against India. Temba Bavuma’s side will finish their group stages with matches against Pakistan at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground and the runners-up of Group A at the Adelaide Oval.

The team will be without the services of Reeza Hendricks for the event, who misses out after failing to recover from a finger injury he sustained during the second Test against England. Dwaine Pretorius has also been ruled out of the event after being picked initially after fracturing his thumb during the T20I series against India. Cricket South Africa is yet to name a replacement.
