In the latest ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings released on Tuesday, Jemimah Rodrigues and Richa Ghosh of India have climbed up to the 11th and 36th positions respectively among batters. Rodrigues rose from 13th to 11th, while Ghosh moved up from 42nd to 36th after their match-winning performances in the Women’s T20 World Cup opener against Pakistan.
The update also includes other notable progress, considering the performances of the first seven matches of the tournament.

Smriti Mandhana, who is the vice-captain of India’s team and was unable to play the opening match due to a finger injury, still holds the top position among Indian players and is ranked third overall in the ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings. Meanwhile, her teammate Shafali Verma is in the 10th spot.
Other players, such as Alyssa Healy, Hayley Matthews, Gaby Lewis, Ellyse Perry, Bismah Maroof, Chloe-Tryon, Alice Capsey, and Harshitha Samarawickrama have also seen notable improvements in their rankings.

Jemimah Rodrigues And Richa Ghosh Earn WPL Contracts
It was a lucky day for both players to post their heroics against Pakistan as the duo of Jemimah Rodrigues and Richa Ghosh bagged their maiden WPL contacts.
While Jemimah was signed by Delhi Capitals for the tournament, Richa Ghosh will join Indian vice-captai n Smriti Mandhana and fellow pacer Renuka Singh at the Royal Challengers.
