LSG-RCB clash proves to be an all-time classic
As Royal Challengers Bangalore took on Lucknow Super Giants in the 15th match of the IPL 2023, batting first, the hosts got off to a wonderful start as Virat Kohli and skipper Faf du Plessis took the LSG bowlers to the cleaners. After Kohli’s wicket on an individual score of 61, Glenn Maxwell joined in and Bangalore posted 212 runs on the board after the first innings.
Things went from bad to worse for the visitors when Kyle Mayers was dismissed on a duck during the run chase. After the entirety of the top order failed to amount to much, Marcus Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran, and Ayush Badoni played resilient knocks to bring Lucknow back into the game.
As the match came down to the wire, Harshal Patel dismissed Mark Wood and Jaydev Unadkat in the final over to shake the chase for Lucknow. However, as the Indian pacer missed the chance to mankad Ravi Bishnoi on the very last delivery, the ball was replayed, and the batters took the last run to propel Lucknow to a magnificent one-wicket victory.
